HIATUS - Note the Hernia, the Break

Good god, was it really May time when I last posted!

Was only a few years ago when I couldn't get enough of Warhammer. I ran linked campaigns, posted big battlereports on my (old) website and Warseer... and all was good.

Then Life throws you a few curveballs, priorities change, and you end up where I am now.

And where is that? Warhammer stagnation. I have painted nothing for several months, played no games in almost as much time, bought zero models. I just cant find the motivation for the hobby at the moment. I'm even contemplating selling my small painted 2000pts (ish) of Dwarfs. I just can't quite put my finger on why.

Like I said earlier, I think it's a shift in life's priorities that are mostly to blame. But the slow rise in Games Workshop prices ( as well as cost of living going up too ) doesn't help. I certainly don't thinks it's anything to do with the game itself either; 8th ed worse/better than 7th etc ( personally I think it got better on the whole )

I did actually get around to playing the new Ogres last night against Darryls Wood Elves and it ended in a draw. Fun game, and arranged to play again in a couple of weeks. Thought it would spur me on to get back into the swing of things.

Unfortunately I don't seem to feel that stirring. Yet.
